Rwanda is very safe for tourists. Kigali ranks among the safest cities in Africa, with strict laws and very low crime against tourists.
Tips before you go to Rwanda
- Gorilla permits sell out fast — book through the Rwanda Development Board months in advance.
- Plastic bags are banned in Rwanda — bring a cloth bag.
