How many days should I spend in Rwanda?+

Do Thai citizens need a visa?+

Get an e-visa or VOA (Visa on Arrival) at the airport + you need a yellow fever vaccination certificate — always check the latest requirements before traveling.

How much does the gorilla tour cost?+

A gorilla permit is USD 1,500 per person, booked through the Rwanda Development Board months in advance, as quotas are limited.

Is Rwanda safe?+

Rwanda is very safe for tourists. Kigali ranks among the safest cities in Africa, with strict laws and very low crime against tourists.

Tips before you go to Rwanda

  1. Gorilla permits sell out fast — book through the Rwanda Development Board months in advance.
  2. Plastic bags are banned in Rwanda — bring a cloth bag.
  3. On Umuganda (the last Saturday of the month) shops close in the morning, so plan your travel well.
  4. Sort out your yellow fever vaccination — it's an entry requirement.
