🚆 Getting around Malbun
Zurich Airport (ZRH)
Liechtenstein has no airport; the nearest major hub is Zurich, about an hour's drive from the country. From there continue by public transport or rental car up to Malbun.
Train to Sargans
Take the train from Zurich HB to Sargans station in Switzerland, around 1h 13m, then change to the bus into Vaduz. This is the main interchange for anyone travelling car-free.
Bus to Vaduz (11 / 12E)
From Sargans, catch the bus into Vaduz. The 12E express takes about 23 minutes; the local 11 stops more often, around 30 minutes, and runs every half hour.
Bus 21 up to Malbun
Board Bus 21 at Vaduz Post; it climbs through Triesenberg up to Malbun Zentrum with Rhine Valley views the whole way, dropping you right at the lift stations and trailheads.
