Tips before you go to Ghana
- Always carry your Yellow Fever Card — some checkpoints really do check.
- Exchange cedis at a Forex Bureau in town for better rates than the airport.
- Uber/Bolt in Accra and Kumasi are more convenient and transparent than regular taxis.
- Buy genuine kente at the Bonwire weaving village near Kumasi — cheaper than in-town markets.
- Book Mole tours ahead in the dry season, as in-park accommodation is limited.
- Don't drink tap water — buy bottled water or use Ghana's sachet water.
