How many days should I spend in Foz do Iguaçu?+
Plan for at least 3 days — one for the Brazilian falls plus Parque das Aves, one for the Argentine side and the Devil's Throat, and a third for the Itaipu Dam, the Three Borders Landmark or a shopping run to Ciudad del Este.
Brazilian side or Argentine side — which is better?+
Do both if you can. The Brazilian side gives the full panoramic view of the whole falls and takes about half a day, while the Argentine side walks you right up to the Devil's Throat on longer trails that fill most of a day. Different angles, both worth it.
When is the best time to visit the falls?+
The sweet spot is March–May and September: water levels stay high from the summer rains, temperatures are comfortable and crowds thin out. The rainy season (Oct–Mar) brings the strongest flow but hot, humid weather, while winter (Jun–Aug) is drier with fewer people but lower water.
