¿Yokohama como excursión de un día desde Tokio?
Excursión fácil de hacer (30 min en JR Keihin-Tohoku desde Tokyo Station), pero Minato Mirai es más mágico de noche cuando todos los rascacielos se iluminan: quedarse una noche te permite verlo desde tu ventana. Lo mejor de los dos mundos: una noche aquí de camino a Hakone o Kamakura.
¿La mejor vista de Minato Mirai desde la habitación del hotel?
InterContinental The Grand Yokohama (los pisos más altos dan a la noria y al Landmark Tower) y Yokohama Royal Park Hotel (estás literalmente dentro del Landmark Tower, los pisos superiores miran toda la ciudad desde arriba). Ambos totalmente merecen el gasto extra por habitaciones con vista a la bahía, alrededor de 36,000 a 38,000 yenes.
Chinatown de Yokohama, ¿vale la pena?
Sí: el Chinatown más grande de Japón con más de 600 tiendas, a solo 15 minutos a pie de Minato Mirai. El mejor dim sum en Heichinrou (desde 1884), o coge unos bollos de cerdo de Edosei para comer mientras caminas. Evita los sitios baratos para turistas cerca de la Puerta Zenrinmon y adéntrate más.
¿Qué otros rincones de Yokohama realmente merecen tu tiempo?
Red Brick Warehouse (almacén de aduanas de 1911 reconvertido en tiendas y restaurantes), el Museo Cup Noodle donde literalmente preparas tu propio ramen, el Jardín Sankeien (10 minutos en taxi, jardín paisajístico japonés tradicional) y Hakkeijima Sea Paradise si viajas con niños.
¿Cómo llego desde Narita o Haneda?
Desde Haneda: autobús Limusina directo en 40 minutos por 3,700 yenes, o Línea Keikyu en 30 minutos por 460 yenes. Desde Narita: Narita Express directo a Yokohama en 90 minutos por unos 4,370 yenes, y el Pase para Turistas Extranjeros ofrece un 50% de descuento en el trayecto de ida y vuelta: muy recomendable si tienes el pasaporte habilitado.
