Holiday Inn Yerevan – Republic Square by IHG is a 4-star, 99-room hotel inside a historic pink-tuff building on Amiryan Street in the heart of Kentron. IHG teamed up with the building's owner to renovate the whole place and reopened it as a Holiday Inn in 2019. The Cascade Complex and the Opera House are a few blocks further. Rooms mix classic and modern — high ceilings, soft beds, and on a clear day some park-facing rooms catch the peak of Mount Ararat. Reviewers agree most on the staff: warm Armenian hosts who'll point you to dinner and to Lake Sevan without missing a beat. Tufenkian Historic Yerevan Hotel is an 89-room 4-star boutique in the middle of Old Yerevan, on Hanrapetutyan street, about a 3-minute walk from the Vernissage arts & crafts market and 7 minutes from Republic Square. What sets it apart is the Armenian heritage baked into every detail — above all the famous handwoven Tufenkian carpets that run through the lobby and rooms, the carved wood, and furniture chosen to tell an Armenian story. The other draws are an outdoor pool in the courtyard, rare for an old-town hotel at this level, and the in-house restaurant Kharpert, serving Western-Armenian food you struggle to find even in Yerevan. Real guests praise the summer pool, a full breakfast, and a location that walks to nearly every major sight in town. It scores 8.8/10 and suits couples and culture-minded travelers, from $71 a night.

Inside there's an outdoor pool, a spa, a gym, and the newly renovated The Square Restaurant serving Armenian and international plates. It is about a 10-minute walk to Republic Square in the centre and roughly 7 minutes to Yeritasardakan metro station; the drive from Zvartnots airport takes about 20 minutes. Paris Hotel Yerevan is a Parisian-style 4-star boutique tucked onto Amiryan street in Kentron, Yerevan's downtown core, about 100 metres — under a 2-minute walk — from Republic Square and its dancing fountains. The detail every review fixes on is the rooftop: on clear days you can see the snow-capped twin peaks of Mount Ararat, Armenia's sacred mountain, filling the southern skyline, and breakfast is cooked fresh and served up there with that view — something few Yerevan hotels can offer. The roughly 40 rooms are done in warm classic tones with a Paris feel, and some have a balcony over the cafe-lined Amiryan street. Guests keep praising the family-style service that makes you feel like you're staying at a friend's place. Agoda 8.9 and Booking 9.0 back that up. It suits couples, culture travelers, and first-timers who want to be central and on foot.

The building has been fully renovated, with warm modern rooms, an in-room coffee machine, marble bathrooms and beds that reviewers single out as exceptionally comfortable. The detail guests agree on most is the staff — they feel like family, from check-in to booking tours to flagging down a fair-priced taxi. Breakfast is cooked fresh every morning rather than a lukewarm buffet. Rates start around $57 a night, which makes it a genuine surprise for the location and service, and the 9.1/10 score is shared across both Agoda and Booking. 🚶 On the Northern Avenue pedestrian street 🎭 3-minute walk to the Opera House 💰 From $46 a night, best value in the area
On Northern Avenue3-min walk to Opera HouseAccor chain standardCheapest central option

ibis Yerevan Center sits squarely on Northern Avenue, the stone pedestrian street that links the Opera House to Republic Square and is where locals go for an evening stroll. Walk out of the lobby and you reach the Opera House in about 3 minutes, Republic Square in about 7, and the dancing fountains at Cascade Complex in about 10. The roughly 156 rooms run the standard ibis red-white-grey look at a compact 18-22 sqm, but the layout works and the Sweet Bed by ibis is softer than most travelers expect at this tier. Staff speak English and are genuinely helpful, and the breakfast buffet opens early for anyone starting a tour at dawn. Rates start around $46 a night, the cheapest you'll find this central, which is why it lands an 8.3/10 for backpackers, budget couples, and short-trip business travelers who just want a clean bed in a walkable spot.

  • On the central pedestrian street, walking distance to every landmark
  • Cheapest in the area, from $46 a night

Preguntas frecuentes
