This is a quiet, low-key place, so set expectations accordingly. It's about 7 km out from the town centre and Pub Street, which means relying on tuk-tuks whenever you want to go in. Facilities are basic — there's no pool and no fancy spa. And during the rainy season, Otres Beach can feel fairly deserted, which is wonderful for solitude but quiet if you'd hoped for more buzz. In high season (November to February), book about 2 months ahead because rooms go fast.
