Location and getting there

Third, the seasons: during the monsoon, roughly May to October, the sea can be choppy and wet, leaving the water cloudier some days or forcing boat trips to change plans, so book the dry season if you want calm, clear water. Last is the quiet, which is both the selling point and the thing to know: with the island's size and limited villas, there aren't many restaurant, bar or evening options, so anyone who likes a lively scene may find it too quiet over several nights, while anyone here to rest and switch off will find exactly what they came for.

If you prefer a trip where you can walk out anywhere you like, with shops and a lively scene to explore daily, a boat-dependent private island may not be your thing.
