In-Depth Review
Rooms and decor
Sheraton Grand Danang Beach Resort & Spa opened in 2018 on Non Nuoc Beach — the newest Marriott Bonvoy 5-star in the Non Nuoc group until the Marriott Villas arrived in 2022. The main tower runs 14 floors and 270 rooms, starting at a 48-square-metre Deluxe Room and climbing to the 220-square-metre Resort Villa with its own private pool. The look is tropical contemporary with a Vietnamese touch — white, grey, wood brown and sea blue, with teak furniture and cotton fabrics. Beds are King Sealy hand-tufted, Wi-Fi is fast, the Smart TV is 55 inches, and you get a Nespresso machine plus TWG tea. Every room has a balcony; bathrooms have a rain shower and a separate bathtub, stocked with Le Grand Bain. Real guest reviews land at 9.1 on Trip.com, 8.8 on Agoda and 9.0 on Booking, most praising the newer rooms, the 250-metre pool and the water park — the only knocks being the crowds at busy times and needing a Grab to get into town.
Food and amenities
The heart of the place is that 250-metre infinity pool, the longest in Vietnam, plus the free in-resort water park. The Lobby Lounge does afternoon tea and cocktails; Table 88 is all-day dining, with a breakfast buffet at VND 650,000 (pho, dim sum, croissants, omelettes, fruit, plus Indian and Western dishes) and a BBQ dinner. La Plage Beach Club sits right on the sand serving seafood and cocktails, with a DJ every Friday and Saturday. Shine Spa has 10 treatment rooms using Sothys and Vietnamese herbs — a 60-minute body massage is VND 1.4 million. The Shine Pool is the 250-metre infinity stretch, alongside the small water park (5 slides, a 100-metre lazy river, a kids splash pad). The Kids Club is free for ages 4 to 12, watersports cover kayaks and paddle boards, and Sheraton Fitness runs Technogym kit 24 hours with sauna and steam. A free shuttle serves the city and Hoi An on a booking schedule. Overall score: 9.0/10.
Location and getting there
Sheraton Grand sits on Non Nuoc Beach, south of Da Nang, with a private 250-metre stretch of sand inside the resort. Marble Mountain (Ngu Hanh Son) and the stone-carving village are a 5-minute drive; My Khe Beach is 10 minutes; the Dragon Bridge and Han Market are 15 minutes; Hoi An Ancient Town is 25 minutes; and Ba Na Hills is 60 minutes out. Da Nang Airport (DAD) is 13 km away, a 20-minute drive. The free shuttle into the city runs 4 times a day (09:00, 11:00, 14:00 and 17:00) with a 22:00 return; the Hoi An shuttle runs twice (09:30 and 14:30) and needs booking a day ahead.
Things to know before booking
First, it gets very crowded at peak times — all 270 rooms fill over Tet, Christmas and New Year, and the June-to-August summer, and the pool and water park draw long queues. Go in May or September, the shoulder season, when rates fall around 20% and the crowds thin. Second, you need a Grab or taxi for the city: Non Nuoc is 15 km out, so it's the free shuttle 4 times a day or a Grab at VND 200,000 one way. Third, Non Nuoc Beach has strong waves from September to November, so put young kids in the pool instead — there's a shallow, safe splash pad. Fourth, sign up for Bonvoy free before booking: you'll get a welcome drink, late check-out at 4PM, a shot at a room upgrade at Silver and above, and lounge access at Gold and above.
Our take
Sheraton Grand Danang Beach Resort & Spa is the most fitting choice in Da Nang for families who live in the pool and couples chasing a good infinity-pool photo in a newer room. You get a 2018 resort, the 250-metre infinity pool that's the longest in Vietnam, a free in-resort water park, a free Kids Club for ages 4 to 12, 270 rooms all with balconies, Shine Spa running Sothys products, and Marriott Bonvoy points, from $166 a night. If your trip is built around pool-and-water-park family days, IG-minded couples, or Bonvoy loyalty, this is the answer that fits best — though if you want a private villa, look at the Marriott Villas instead. Overall we give it 9.0/10, best for pool-loving families, IG couples and Bonvoy members.
