The building runs nine floors and 314 rooms, starting with the 50 sq m Classic Room, which is larger than the Pattaya 5-star standard, and climbing to the 100 sq m Movenpick Suite. The look is contemporary Thai-Mediterranean in blue, cream and gold, with a Movenpick Comfort bed dressed in 300-thread cotton. Every room has a sea-view balcony, a real 10 sq m one with a hanging chair, and the marble bathrooms come with a rain shower, a separate tub and Panpuri amenities. Family Rooms add a second bed for four people. Real guest reviews on Trip.com (9.0/10) and Booking (8.6) mostly praise the fresh rooms and the value of the sea view.

Food and amenities

The heart of the resort is the 200m private beach, white sand that is far quieter than the Pattaya town beaches. CentralFestival Pattaya Beach is a 30-minute drive (20 km), with a Bolt at about $7 to $10, and Walking Street 35 minutes, a Bolt at roughly $9 to $12. The big advantage is the airport: U-Tapao (UTP) is just 22 km and a 30-minute drive, a Bolt of about $14 to $19, the closest of any hotel here. Suvarnabhumi (BKK) is 125 km and a 1h45m drive, with a Bell Travel shuttle at about $7 per person.

Things to know before booking

Straight talk: the first thing is that you are 20+ km from central Pattaya, so anyone wanting nightlife or shopping every day will find it awkward — this is for people who plan to use the resort as the destination. Second, food choices outside the resort are limited; Na Jomtien is a residential beach area, not a dining strip, with only a few local spots nearby, so street-food hunters will feel the constraint. Third, Bolt is slow at night because of the distance, so book 10 to 15 minutes ahead or have the concierge call the resort's standby taxi. Fourth, it gets windy from March to May, when the beach can pick up bigger waves and is better for lounging than for sand and swimming.
