Things to know before booking

The trade-off for being glued to the station is distance from the action: the old Bouffay quarter is about 1 km away, so you'll walk or hop the tram to get to its bars and restaurants. The hotel also has the slightly anonymous feel of a modern chain — efficient, but without the historic-building atmosphere you'd get at Sōzō or Oceania. And some guests report train noise in front-facing rooms, so ask for one at the back if you're a light sleeper.
