In-Depth Review
Rooms and decor
Rooms are done in a modern grey-blue palette and start around 17-20 sqm — compact, but laid out well. You get a Serenity bed, a flat-screen TV, air-con and a rain shower that all work as they should. Rooms from the 20th floor up look out over Marina Bay, which is the view worth asking for. Rates start around $89 a night.
Food and amenities
Inside the building there's an outdoor pool on the 4th floor, a gym and several restaurants, including a cafe and Thai and Chinese kitchens — handy when you don't feel like going out. Step outside and you're among halal restaurants and a budget hawker centre, so cheap meals are a short walk in any direction.
Location and getting there
It's a 7-minute walk to Lavender MRT on the EW line, and another 10 minutes to Bugis MRT, an interchange that opens up most of the network. The building itself is a tall tower that stands out against the Lavender/Kallang area, where hotels mix with local restaurants.
Things to know before booking
With 1,500 rooms, the lobby and lifts can back up in the morning and evening rush — that's the trade-off for the scale. Standard rooms are compact by Singapore norms, so don't expect much spare floor space. And the Marina Bay view only comes from the 20th floor up; book a lower room and you'll be looking at the neighbouring blocks instead.
Our take
This is the pick for families and tour groups who want full facilities at a price they can keep in check. The sheer size means there's usually a room free even in high season, and with restaurants in the building you can stay in when you'd rather not head out. It scores 8.0/10 on Agoda and 7.7/10 on Booking.com.

- An outdoor pool on the 4th floor, a gym and several in-house restaurants, including a cafe and Thai and Chinese kitchens.
- Walkable to two stations — Lavender on the EW line in 7 minutes, and Bugis (EW/DT interchange) in about 10.
- A 4-star price for facilities you would normally pay more to get.
- Halal restaurants and a budget hawker centre sit right around the hotel, so cheap meals are a few steps away.
- The lobby and lifts can get crowded morning and evening, simply because of how many guests the building holds.
- Standard rooms are compact by Singapore norms, starting around 17-20 sqm.
- Only rooms from the 20th floor up get the Marina Bay view — lower floors look out over the surrounding blocks.

Insider Tips
- Ask for a room on the 20th floor or higher if you want the Marina Bay view — lower floors don't get it.
- Use Bugis, about 10 minutes on foot, when you need an interchange — it puts more of the network within one ride.
- Eat at the halal spots and hawker centre right around the hotel to keep meal costs down instead of dining in.
