In-Depth Review
Rooms and decor
Eaton HK leans hard into contemporary art. The lobby walls carry murals from local artists, the lighting is custom, and every room is styled in warm tones with Hong Kong heritage artwork. Standard rooms start at 18 sqm — small for a 4-star, but the space is used well and looks good, with quality beds and a modern bathroom that includes a rain shower. Guests tend to single out the design and the work setup: one common note is that the look is genuinely distinctive and the co-work floor is big and quiet. At the top, penthouse suites add a private balcony with a city view.
Food and amenities
The co-work space is the headline. It is a wide floor on the mezzanine built for getting work done — fast Wi-Fi, a bookable meeting room, and a Brooklyn-cafe feel — and it is free for guests. The events keep coming too: art talks, yoga, film screenings and music run at House of Sounds and the Foodhall. On the food side, Yat Tung Heen is a Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant serving dim sum and classic dishes; Astor Bar is a speakeasy-style cocktail bar open all night; and Terrible Baby is the rooftop bar with a city view. Breakfast mixes continental and Asian options.
Location and getting there
The hotel sits at 380 Nathan Road in the middle of Yau Ma Tei. Yau Ma Tei MTR is a 3-minute walk on the Tsuen Wan line, just one stop from Mong Kok. Temple Street Night Market is about 5 minutes on foot, and Ladies Market on Tung Choi Street runs 10 to 15 minutes up Nathan Road. Sneaker Street is roughly 12 minutes away, and Tsim Sha Tsui with the Star Ferry pier is about 5 minutes by MTR. For the airport, take the Airport Express from Kowloon Station — around 25 minutes.
Things to know before booking
This is Yau Ma Tei, not Mongkok proper, so budget that 10-to-15-minute walk to Ladies Market into your plans. Standard rooms start at 18 sqm, which is tight even for Hong Kong. And some rooms have windows that don't open — worth requesting one that does. The whole place runs a design-forward, hipster tone that not everyone warms to.
Our take
Eaton HK is the most design-led stay in the area, and the free co-work space plus the run of art and wellness events make it a clear pick for digital nomads and anyone who likes a lifestyle brand. Scores sit at 8.7/10 and rooms start around $70. Go in knowing the rooms are small and you are a short walk south of Mongkok, and it is an easy place to recommend.

Insider Tips
- Work from the co-work space on the mezzanine floor — it is quiet and the atmosphere is the best in the building.
- Astor Bar stays open all night, so it is an easy cocktail stop after you walk back from Temple Street.
- Ask for a room with a window that actually opens — some rooms have windows that are fixed shut.
