In-Depth Review

Rooms and decor

Danang Marriott Resort & Spa, Non Nuoc Beach Villas opened in 2022 on Non Nuoc Beach, south of Da Nang — the newest 5-star Marriott in the Non Nuoc cluster and the first Bonvoy villa resort in Vietnam. There are 122 private villas with 1 to 3 bedrooms, each with a small private pool and a garden terrace. They start at the 1-Bedroom Garden Pool Villa at 180 sqm and run up to the 3-Bedroom Beach Villa at 380 sqm with a 12-metre pool. The look is tropical and Vietnamese contemporary in white, timber brown, emerald and sea blue, with teak furniture and cotton-linen fabrics. Beds are King Sealy hand-tufted, there's a 65-inch Smart TV, a Nespresso machine and TWG tea, and a marble bathroom with a rain shower and a separate bathtub stocked with Le Grand Bain. Real reviews land at 9.2 on Trip.com, 9.0 on Agoda and 9.1 on Booking, with most guests praising the new villas, private pools, shallow beach and Kids Club. The two knocks are the high villa rates and Wi-Fi dropping in some villas.

Food and amenities

The heart of the resort is its 3 fine-dining restaurants plus Quan Spa. Man Ho does Cantonese fine dining and a Sunday dim sum trolley brunch (VND 1.5 million, free for kids under 6) — the Marriott signature. Beach House is beachfront seafood BBQ with a DJ every Friday and Saturday, and Greatroom is all-day dining with a breakfast buffet at VND 700,000 and an a la carte dinner. The Pool Bar sits by the public pools, and Quan Spa has 10 treatment rooms working in the traditional Vietnamese style — local herbs, herbal compress and cupping — with a 60-minute body massage at VND 1.6 million. There are 3 public pools on top of the villa pools: a 1,500-sqm Lagoon Pool, a 25-metre Lap Pool and a Kids Splash. The Kids Club is free for ages 4-12 with Vietnamese craft and cooking classes; there's kayaking and paddleboarding, 2 tennis courts and bikes, a 24-hour Technogym with sauna and steam, and a 24-hour butler in every villa. A free shuttle runs into the city and to Hoi An on a booked schedule. Score: 9.2/10.

Location and getting there

The resort sits on Non Nuoc Beach south of Da Nang, fronting 400 metres of private sand. Marble Mountain (Ngu Hanh Son) and the marble-carving village are both a 5-minute drive, My Khe Beach is 10 minutes, Dragon Bridge and Han Market are 15 minutes, Hoi An Ancient Town is 25 minutes, and Ba Na Hills is 60 minutes. Da Nang airport (DAD) is 13 km away, a 20-minute drive. Marriott runs a free shuttle into the city 4 times a day (09:00, 11:00, 14:00 and 17:00) with a 22:00 return, plus 2 runs to Hoi An (09:30 and 14:30) — book those a day ahead.

Things to know before booking

First, villa rates run high — $194 for the 1-Bedroom Garden Pool, $357 for a 2-Bedroom and $571 for the 3-Bedroom Beach Villa. It's best value on a 2- or 3-bedroom split between 4-6 people, around $94-$120 each. For two, the Garden Pool Villa at $194 still works, or the sub Beach Front at $214. If you want to be nearer town, Premier Village on My Khe is closer in. Second, Wi-Fi drops in some villas, especially at the far end of the resort — ask for a Garden Pool Villa near the main building when you book, or use the lobby Wi-Fi. Third, Non Nuoc Beach gets rougher from September to November, so the private villa pool is safer for young kids in those months. Fourth, sign up for Bonvoy free before booking — Gold and above gets a welcome amenity, lounge access and 4PM late check-out, and the Sunday dim sum brunch fills fast, so book it 2 days ahead.

Our take

Danang Marriott Resort & Spa, Non Nuoc Beach Villas is the most rounded pick in Da Nang for families with young kids and honeymooners who want a private villa with a pool. It's the first Bonvoy villa resort in Vietnam — 122 one-to-three-bedroom villas, each with a private pool, opened 2022 — with Man Ho, Beach House and Greatroom, the traditional-Vietnamese Quan Spa, a free Kids Club, and Marble Mountain just up the road, from $194. If your trip is family-with-young-kids, honeymoon, or Bonvoy loyalist after a brand-new villa, this is the answer. If you'd rather be near the city with your own kitchen, look at Premier Village instead. Overall we give it 9.2/10 — best for families with young children, honeymooners and Bonvoy members.

The Honest Verdict — pros & what to know

✓ Why we recommend it
  • Wide, low-density grounds — green gardens wrap each of the 122 villas so they feel private rather than stacked together, and every villa comes with its own small pool.
  • The Kids Club is free for ages 4-12 and rotates activities daily, including Vietnamese craft sessions and a cooking class, so kids aren't doing the same thing twice.
  • Three fine-dining restaurants for a resort this size: Man Ho for Cantonese and a Sunday dim sum trolley brunch, the beachfront Beach House for seafood BBQ, and the all-day Greatroom — plus a Bonvoy welcome amenity for members.
  • Genuinely close to the sights you'd come for — 5 minutes to Marble Mountain, 10 minutes to My Khe Beach, and just 25 minutes to Hoi An Ancient Town.
  • Non Nuoc Beach stays shallow for the first 50 metres with gentle waves, so families with young children rate it well for safe paddling — and the resort fronts 400 metres of beach.
💡 Good to know before you book
  • Villa rates run high — the 1-Bedroom Garden Pool starts at $194 and climbs to $571 for a 3-Bedroom Beach Villa and $857 at the top. It works out best on a 2- or 3-bedroom split between 4-6 people, around $94-$120 each.
  • Wi-Fi drops in some villas, especially at the far end of the resort. Ask for a Garden Pool Villa near the main building when you book, or use the lobby Wi-Fi.
  • The beach gets rougher from September to November — calmest March to August — so for young kids the private villa pool is the safer bet in those months.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the Marriott different from Premier Village?
Marriott Non Nuoc Villas is 122 one-to-three-bedroom villas on Non Nuoc Beach (15 km from the city, closer to Hoi An), opened 2022, Bonvoy, from $194. Premier Village is 106 two-to-four-bedroom villas with full kitchens and a BBQ on My Khe Beach (10 minutes from town), Accor Le Club, from $243. Pick the Marriott for newer villas, Bonvoy, and Hoi An; Premier Village for self-catering and bigger groups of 6-8.
Is Non Nuoc Beach really shallow and safe for young kids?
Yes, and it's a real draw here. The Marriott sits on the central Non Nuoc stretch where the first 50 metres are shallow with gentle waves, and family guests consistently say kids aged 3-7 can play safely. The south end near the Sheraton is rougher, and waves are calmest March to August. In rougher months, the private villa pool or the resort's kids splash pad is the safer choice.
What are the 3 fine-dining restaurants?
Man Ho does Cantonese fine dining and a Sunday dim sum trolley brunch (VND 1.5 million per person, free for kids under 6) — the Marriott signature. Beach House is beachfront seafood BBQ with sunset cocktails and a DJ every Friday and Saturday. Greatroom is all-day dining with a breakfast buffet (VND 700,000) and an a la carte Vietnamese and Western dinner. Room service is free, and you can hire a private chef in-villa for VND 2 million a meal.
