What sets Hotel Cozzi Blu apart is everything in the building. Downstairs is the XPark Aquarium, a mid-size aquarium a family can stretch across a whole afternoon, and right beside it is Gloria Outlets, where restaurants and cafes stay open late — land at 9 pm and you can still walk over for dinner. The free airport shuttle runs roughly every 30 minutes through the morning and afternoon, and some airlines let you check in at the lobby before you go. Location and getting there

The building sits on top of Airport MRT A18 in Zhongli, so you ride the lift from the platform to the lobby in a couple of minutes — no dragging bags across a road. The purple-line MRT reaches the airport stations A12/A13 in about 15-18 minutes, and the hotel's bookable free shuttle drives straight to the terminal in roughly 15 minutes. Across the way, Gloria Outlets stays open until 9 pm, so a delayed flight still leaves time for last-minute gifts. Zhongli is two MRT stops away and connects to the HSR down to Taichung or Kaohsiung.

Things to know before booking

The breakfast buffet leans heavily on starches and keeps Western options fairly limited. You're also not inside the airport — it's still about a 15-minute shuttle ride to the terminal, so this suits people with time rather than a tight connection. And rates start higher than comparable hotels nearby, a premium you pay for the location on top of the MRT and aquarium.

Our take

Hotel Cozzi Blu fits families with young kids, couples who don't want a dull transit day, and anyone landing late who'd rather start the next morning with something easy before heading into Taipei. From about $157 a night it runs high for the airport group, but you get a big runway-view room, an aquarium downstairs, an outlet mall next door and the MRT in the basement — all under one roof. It's the most fun, and most rounded, way to open the Taoyuan airport list.
