In-Depth Review
Rooms and decor
Beausite Park Hotel is the hotel people picture first when they think of Wengen, the car-free village on a shelf of cliff facing straight at the Jungfrau. Rooms are done in an Alpine-chic style with a modern edge — Swiss pine and wool keep it warm rather than rustic. The Jungfrau-view rooms have a private balcony for morning coffee with the mountain in front of you, and guests single out the Swiss Comfort beds and the roomy marble bathrooms. The catch is that the south-facing rooms with the clear Jungfrau view are the most wanted and tend to go first.
Food and amenities
The Swiss Mountain Breakfast buffet is the most-praised thing in the reviews — homemade bread, several Swiss cheeses, Bündnerfleisch air-dried beef, local yoghurt and eggs to order. The main restaurant runs at a fine-dining level across Swiss and international plates, and the Wednesday-night Cheese Fondue gets a particular mention, which is part of why half-board is worth it. Downstairs the spa has an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and a massage room — the right reset after a day on the trails or skiing down from the Lauberhorn run. Book the massage ahead, especially for evening slots in winter.
Location and getting there
The hotel sits next to Wengen Bahnhof, a 3-minute walk to the platform. From there the Wengernalpbahn climbs to Kleine Scheidegg, where you change onto the Jungfrau Railway up to Jungfraujoch — Top of Europe; the same station also runs down to Lauterbrunnen. Wengen itself is car-free, served only by small hotel electric carts and a luggage service, which is exactly why it stays this quiet. Zurich Airport (ZRH) is roughly 3 hours away by train, changing at Interlaken Ost and Lauterbrunnen.
Things to know before booking
This is a genuine 4-star Superior, and the price reflects it: rooms start around $290 and run up toward $690, with the steepest rates in ski season and over July and August. The Jungfrau-facing rooms are limited, so if the view is the reason you're coming, book 2 to 3 months ahead. And the massage room is by reservation only — don't assume you can walk in for an evening slot in winter.
Our take
If you want the postcard — wake up, open the curtains, and the Jungfrau and Mönch are right there — this is the Wengen address that delivers it, with a spa and a station on the doorstep to back it up. The reviews land it at 9.0/10, and several guests describe the feel as warm and family-run rather than corporate. Best for couples and families who want a real mountain-view room in a car-free village, and who don't mind paying a bit for it.

The Honest Verdict — pros & what to know
- Full Jungfrau and Mönch views across the front of the hotel — the best in Wengen, and the main reason people book.
- A spa with an indoor pool, sauna and steam room to unwind in after a day of hiking or skiing the Lauberhorn run.
- Right next to Wengen Bahnhof, a 3-minute walk — you're straight onto the train toward Kleine Scheidegg and Jungfraujoch.
- The Swiss buffet breakfast is the single most-praised thing in the reviews, with homemade bread, several Swiss cheeses and eggs to order.
- 4-star Superior service that reads as warm and family-run rather than big-chain, and the staff speak good English.
- From $290 a night, and it climbs higher in ski season and over July and August, so it is not a budget pick.
- The south-facing Jungfrau-view rooms are limited and sell out first — book 2 to 3 months ahead if the view is the point.
- The massage room needs to be reserved in advance, especially for evening slots during ski season.
