Where to stay in Cotai — pick the right hotel, book in 3 clicks
Calling Cotai the Las Vegas of Asia is no exaggeration. This 5-square-kilometre stretch of reclaimed land between Taipa and Coloane is packed wall-to-wall with the world's most ambitious integrated resorts — The Venetian (the planet's largest casino), The Parisian with its 160-metre half-scale Eiffel Tower, Galaxy Macau, Wynn Palace, MGM Cotai and The Londoner. What makes Cotai special is that you can walk between resorts almost entirely indoors: ride a gondola through faux canals, catch a legendary water show, shop global luxury brands, and feast on Macanese Portuguese-Chinese fusion. This is modern Macau at full volume — glamorous, theatrical, and surprisingly family-friendly.

Should I stay on Cotai or in old Macau?+
For luxury, convenience, shows, shopping and family travel, Cotai wins — resorts are linked indoors. For UNESCO heritage and cheaper rooms, choose the Macau Peninsula. Either way, the territory is tiny: everything is 20-30 minutes apart.
How do I get to Cotai from Bangkok?+
Fly direct to Macau International Airport, which sits right next to Cotai — a free shuttle or taxi reaches the resorts in about 10 minutes. Alternatively, fly to Hong Kong and take the ferry to Taipa Ferry Terminal in around 55 minutes.
Is there anything to do in Cotai besides casinos?+
Plenty. There's the House of Dancing Water show, the Golden Reel ferris wheel, teamLab SuperNature, gondola rides, water parks, and the historic Taipa Village nearby. Families and non-gamblers can fill a full day with ease.
