Where to stay in Jūrmala — pick the right hotel, book in 3 clicks
Jūrmala is Latvia's best-loved seaside resort, just 25 km west of Riga and a short train ride away. Its draw is a white-sand beach running 24-33 km along the Gulf of Riga, with shallow, gently sloping water that's easy on bare feet. Add fragrant pine forest, century-old Art Nouveau summer villas in wood, and a spa culture built on healing mud and mineral water dating back to the Tsarist era, and you have the ideal escape from the city: fall asleep to the waves, stroll the pedestrian Jomas Street, and soak in a seaside spa.
