Where to stay in Varna — pick the right hotel, book in 3 clicks
Varna is Bulgaria's sea capital, the largest port on the Black Sea coast, and the rare resort town that pairs a long sandy shoreline with genuinely world-class history. This is one of Europe's oldest coastal cities, home to a museum holding the oldest gold treasure on Earth dating back roughly 6,000 years. Walk a few blocks and you hit the ruins of one of the largest Roman bath complexes in Europe; turn into the Sea Garden and the beach opens up in front of you. If you want a European seaside trip that's easy to walk, easy on the wallet, and has far more going on than just sunbathing, Varna delivers.
