Where to stay in Holetown — pick the right hotel, book in 3 clicks
Holetown is the polished heart of Barbados's West Coast — a luxury resort strip where the Caribbean Sea lies flat, clear and warm almost year-round. Come for powder-soft white sand and calm swimming water, snorkelling with sea turtles at Folkestone Marine Park, high-end seafood restaurants, and designer boutiques at Limegrove. This is also where the English first landed in 1627, so a layer of history runs beneath all the glamour.
Why stay in Holetown
The island's calmest beaches
The West Coast faces the sheltered Caribbean, so surf is minimal and the water turns glassy turquoise over smooth sand. Sandy Lane, Paynes Bay and Mullins are easy all-day swimming, even with kids.
Snorkel with real sea turtles
Folkestone Marine Park is the best snorkelling in Barbados — green and hawksbill turtles glide within 10 metres of shore, alongside reef fish and the MV Stavronikita wreck sitting at 35 metres for divers.
Seafront fine dining
Legendary tables like The Tides and The Lone Star serve fresh-caught fish with open sea views, while Bajan classics such as cou-cou and flying fish keep it local and honest.
Luxury shopping in one spot
Limegrove Lifestyle Centre gathers Louis Vuitton, Cartier and Ralph Lauren under one roof with a spa and cinemas, while colourful Chattel Village offers local crafts and gifts.
